You need your vacuum cleaner to keep your home's carpeting clean and dust-free. This piece of equipment is designed to last for several year, but there will come a time when its regular use will result in it breaking down and needing to be replaced with a new one. Of course, there are some vacuum-related problems that can be fixed with repairs. It is up to you to know which issues warrant replacement. Here are three of them.
Odd noises such as roaring or whistling sounds are never a sign of something good with your vacuum cleaner. If you ever hear a strange noise coming from your vacuum while in use, you should first unplug the equipment. Next, you should inspect the brush and hoses to determine if debris has gotten struck inside. In many cases, stuck debris is the cause of the strange sounds. However, if you can't find anything that has blocked the hose or brush, then the noises may be the signs of a failing motor.
When you use your vacuum cleaner, it should never produce a smoke or burning rubber odor. If it does, then this is an indication that it is near the ends of its life span. More often than not, the cause of the burning smell is due to a burnt out motor or a broken belt. If it is a broken belt, then it can be replaced. However, if the culprit is a malfunctioning motor, then you will simply need to purchase a brand-new vacuum cleaner.
If you notice that there are still crumbs, debris, and dust on the floor after you use your vacuum—even multiple times—then you probably have a clogged hose. Check to see if this is the case. If there is no evidence of a blocked hose, there may be damaged components inside the vacuum cleaner that is causing weak suction. More often than not, your best bet in a case like this is to simply upgrade to a newer or better vacuum cleaner, particularly if you have an older or cheaper vacuum cleaner.
Vacuum cleaners may not necessarily be the most important piece of equipment in the home, but they are necessary to help keep the home clean. When you have guests coming over, you'll be thankful to have a properly functioning vacuum in the home. If your vacuum is not working properly and/or you notice any of the aforementioned issues, contact a vacuum repair or replacement service in your area.Share

My name is Michelle Landon. When I was a little girl, I loved helping my mother and grandmother in the garden. My passion for gardening grew, and in my adult years, it became my number one hobby. I have lived in apartments and mastered the art of having container gardens. I now have over an acre of land and can grow just about anything. My dream was to one day have a greenhouse and be able to grow all the flowers my heart desired. Six years ago I got my first small greenhouse and was able to start bringing my gardening dream to fruition. Today I have two greenhouses and working in them is even better than I imagined. I would like to share my greenhouse gardening experiences with you.
