Fabric And Robot Vacuums – Making It Easier To Keep Up With Pet Messes

Home & Garden Blog

Sharing a home with pets isn't always easy. Between the fur that they get everywhere, their potty accidents, the chewing, and the toys that are scattered about, it can all be quite challenging to keep up with. If you're looking for help keeping up with the cleaning the messes that your pets make, keep reading. You'll find a few tips to help you do just that, right here.

Buy Bulk Fabric

You don't have to be really handy with a sewing machine to make rolls of fabric work for you. Fabric can be used to cover up so many of the messes that pets can make.

You can cover your sofa, chair, and loveseat with matching fabric. When it gets hairy or smelly, you just remove the fabric and send it through the wash. If you choose to, you can attach Velcro strips to the edges of the fabric and the furniture. Then, when you put it on, all you have to do is secure the Velcro, smooth the finish and you're good to go for a while.

Fabric can also be used to create coordinating pet beds for around the house. Your pet beds do not have to stand out from everything else – covering them with fabric the same way you did your furniture will do just that – and you'll be able to wash the bed cover fabric much faster than washing the entire bed.

If you have a dog that barks at everything that passes by your home, and you have full-length glass windows or doors, fabric can be used to cover the bottom portion of the window to prevent the dog from seeing what's going on. You can use a curtain rod and attach the fabric to it and make it easy to remove, or you can use double-sided high-quality fabric tape to stick it to the glass directly.

Get an Automatic Vacuum

Now that you have a good idea of how to protect the furniture, it's time to keep up with the floors and there's no easier way than buying a robot vacuum cleaner. This gadget is pretty neat. You set a timer for how often you want it to run it comes off of the charging dock, vacuums the floors and returns to the dock until the timer goes off again. Keeping the floors clean will help keep the rest of the home clean – and with this, you don't even have to do it yourself.

Start looking for fabric that is easy to wash and will look nice in your home. Hopefully, the above tips will help eliminate some of the messes from your daily routine.

Stepping into Greenhouse Gardening

My name is Michelle Landon. When I was a little girl, I loved helping my mother and grandmother in the garden. My passion for gardening grew, and in my adult years, it became my number one hobby. I have lived in apartments and mastered the art of having container gardens. I now have over an acre of land and can grow just about anything. My dream was to one day have a greenhouse and be able to grow all the flowers my heart desired. Six years ago I got my first small greenhouse and was able to start bringing my gardening dream to fruition. Today I have two greenhouses and working in them is even better than I imagined. I would like to share my greenhouse gardening experiences with you.
